Having taken over the guesthouse in early 2017, Lynda and Larnie bring their own character to the place to offer accommodation in Llandrindod Wells with the friendly approach of a family run bed and breakfast, combined with the efficiency and comfort you may associate with larger establishments.
Having learned their skills training as chefs, working for many years in high profile hotels, Lynda and Larnie pride themselves on helping guests to feel welcome, providing first class surroundings, comfort, peace and quiet. The great thing about travelling by bike is that you get to see so much more than you do in a car. If you want to stop and take in the views, well, no problem. Basing a tour of the area at Greylands Guest House is a great idea. Not only will you have comfortable, friendly accommodation, starting the day with a good breakfast to keep you going, but also Tony is full of local knowledge which he is happy to share when planning your routes. This is a real short cut to finding just the sort of roads that you are looking for.
There is a garage available for bikers to store your pride and joy overnight, out of the weather and in the dry. You can get a good night's rest and so can your bike. The roads here are so inviting, you won't want to be stopping during the day, so a good rest is essential.
This is where the websmith butts in: As a biker myself, I can thoroughly recommend the Lladrindod Wells to Newtown road. Rumour has it that there are 365 bends, one for each day of the year. I have never counted them as I am always too busy having fun on my FireBlade for that. What I can say is that there are plenty of them from the fast and sweeping to the eye-bulging braking types. Lovely!
The town is host to the Royal Welsh Showground where many events take place regularly. Most notable of these is the Royal Welsh Show every July, which attracts a quarter of a million visitors regularly. Needless to say, accommodation over the show period is at a premium, so if you would like to stay at Greylands for the show, early booking is recommended.
